About the School of Vedic Sciences

Exploring India’s knowledge traditions through contemporary learning.

Our background

India has a rich and diverse intellectual heritage encompassing philosophy, literature, mathematics, astronomy, health traditions, yoga, linguistics and several other domains of knowledge. These traditions have evolved over centuries through observation, inquiry, interpretation, practice and intergenerational transmission.

The School of Vedic Sciences at FORE is envisioned as an academic platform dedicated to the systematic study, exploration and dissemination of India’s diverse knowledge traditions. Through academic programmes, specialised courses, research initiatives and engagement with subject experts, the School seeks to create opportunities for meaningful learning and contemporary inquiry.

The School adopts a broad and evolving academic scope, allowing it to engage with different knowledge domains over time in response to academic priorities, institutional collaborations and learner interests.

Our vision

To establish a contemporary academic platform for the systematic study, preservation and advancement of Jyotish and Vedic knowledge traditions, integrating traditional wisdom with structured learning, research and contemporary inquiry.
