Bhakūṭa

Bhakūṭa ('sign peak') carries seven points and looks at how far apart the two Moon signs are. The pairings 2–12, 5–9 and 6–8 are counted as bhakūṭa doṣa and score zero, while the others, including 1–1, 3–11, 4–10 and 1–7, receive the full seven. Many manuals cancel the doṣa when the two sign lords are the same or are friends.
