Gaṇa kūṭa

Gaṇa kūṭa carries six points. The twenty-seven nakshatras are divided into three groups of nine, deva (divine), manuṣya (human) and rākṣasa (demonic), described in the texts as broad temperaments. The manuals award the full six for the same gaṇa and score other combinations lower, with deva–rākṣasa pairs scored lowest.
