Sthāpatyaveda

Sthāpatyaveda ('knowledge of establishing') is the Upaveda of architecture, listed in some sources in place of Arthaśāstra and attached to the Atharvaveda. Its doctrines are found in vāstu and śilpa texts such as the Mayamata, Mānasāra and Samarāṅgaṇa Sūtradhāra, and in the chapters on building in Varāhamihira's Bṛhat Saṃhitā.
