Definition
Mūlatrikoṇa is a defined segment of a sign in which a graha is held to act with particular steadiness. BPHS gives: Sun, Siṃha 0°–20°; Moon, Vṛṣabha 4°–30°; Mars, Meṣa 0°–12°; Mercury, Kanyā 16°–20°; Jupiter, Dhanu 0°–10°; Venus, Tulā 0°–15°; Saturn, Kumbha 0°–20°. Some editions differ by a degree at the boundaries.
