Definition
Siṃha (Leo, 'the lion') is the fifth rasi, 120°–150° of the sidereal zodiac. It is a fixed, fiery, odd sign and the only sign ruled by the Sun, whose mūlatrikoṇa occupies its first twenty degrees. In the kālapuruṣa scheme it corresponds to the belly.
