Jaimini

The Jaimini Upadeśa Sūtras, in four chapters, set out a system of Jyotish distinct from Parāśara's, with cara kārakas (including the ātmakāraka), sign-based aspects, ārūḍha padas and sign-based daśās such as the Cara daśā. Tradition attributes them to Jaimini, author of the Mīmāṃsā Sūtra, though scholars generally treat the two as separate works. Their terse style has produced several commentaries, which interpret key sūtras differently.
