Ninth house: dharma, father, teacher, fortune and long journeys.

Definition

The ninth house is called dharma or bhāgya ('fortune'). BPHS assigns to it righteousness, the father, the preceptor, higher learning, pilgrimage and fortune. It is a trikoṇa and an āpoklima house; Jupiter is its natural kāraka, with the Sun as kāraka for the father.
