Trikoṇa
त्रिकोण
Trine houses 1, 5 and 9; the houses of dharma.
Definition
The trikoṇas are the first, fifth and ninth houses, 120° apart, and are called 'trines' in English. BPHS treats their lords as auspicious by ownership, and a relationship between a trikoṇa lord and a kendra lord forms the basic Rāja yoga. The texts also call them Lakṣmī sthānas.
